This past weekend was definitely one of the busiest that I have had in a while. We had a great confirmation retreat down in Cowiche. We played a game of four-way soccer the morphed into something that resembled rugby halfway through. No one died and we all had a lot of fun. For dinner on Saturday night we had curry chicken. My friend Amanda was helping with the cooking and she decided that if the recipe called for five teaspoons of curry, then six could only make it taste better. Amanda had never cooked with curry before and the end result was a curry chicken that was so spicy that we had to put it in ceramic bowls because it would have melted through anything else. Needless to say our tummies were all nice and warm for the rest of the evening. After the retreat we all went to Miners for lunch and then headed back home to Wenatchee.
I am sorry that I did not make it out to the high school this week. There were several people on the Confirmation retreat that were very sick and I think one of them must have infected me. I haven’t really been feeling myself and the last thing I want to do is make anyone sick right before they have to take their WASL.
In other news I just wanted to give you a quick update on things that are in the works. We have a retreat coming up on May 18-20 at Gonzaga. The cost will be $75.00 per person as long as we pay by May 11 and does not include meals. If anyone is interested in going please let me know. I will talk a bit more about this as it gets closer.
